Comprehensive Detection Capabilities

The Ranger provides exceptional sensitivity across a wide spectrum, detecting alpha, beta, gamma, and X-ray radiation. To eliminate the need for manual calculations, the device features built-in efficiencies for common isotopes, automatically converting and displaying precise activity measurements in Becquerels (Bq) and Disintegrations Per Minute (DPM).

Intuitive and Portable Design

Designed to maximize situational awareness and rapid response, this digital survey meter features a highly visible backlit LCD display, a red LED count indicator, and an audible beeping alert for detected counts. It can be easily tailored to meet specific compliance and operational needs through:

Advanced Data Management & Connectivity

For wireless functionality in the field, an optional Bluetooth® module pairs the Ranger® with the Radiation Alert® Observer BLE app (available for Android). The app empowers users to:

  • Conduct timed counts remotely.
  • Append accurate GPS location data to field measurements.
  • Mirror the instrument’s physical alarms directly onto your smartphone.

Anti Saturation Meter will hold at OVER RANGE in fields as high as 100 times the maximum reading.
Averaging Periods This radiation detector display updates every 3 seconds. At low background levels, the update is the average for the past 30-second time period. The timed period for the average decreases as the radiation level increases.
Outputs USB for use with Free Observer USB Software for PCs. Bluetooth Wirelessly connects the instrument with an Android mobile device for use with Free Observer BLE App and optional Bluetooth module available for use with Observer BLE APP and CBRN Responder.
